Bring back the 1920s, they said. There will be flapper dresses, they said.
Theater will never go away, but unfortunately, many arts organizations may not survive this pandemic. Theaters and performers are putting content online as a stop gap measure to raise awareness and money, but it’s hard to keep track of everything that’s coming out–especially when so much is on a limited release. This site is a tool to help theaters and audiences find and support each other.
I’m a graduate student at Northwestern’s Masters of Leadership in Creative Enterprises program with a goal to help theaters become more sustainable. The Great Pandemic of 2020 hasn’t changed that, just made it a little more interesting.
Artists are creative, resourceful thinkers and I know we’ll come out of this even more connected and appreciative of the art that brings us together.
